Leela holds degrees in piano and vocal performance and specializes in choral conducting. She has sung with several organizations including the Washington Opera. Choirs under her direction have sung at the White House, Kennedy Center and St. Patrick's Cathedral in NYC. She in addition has led tours in the Eastern U.S and Europe

 She lives in Downtown Baltimore; is involved in raising awareness of its rich and vibrant cultural community. She is committed to serving her community and its needs.
