Martina Smith is an award-winning researcher, research manager, and founder of Ariel Research Partners, a boutique public opinion research firm and the only Black woman-owned firm of its kind in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Ariel combines the expertise of a large research firm with the personalized service of a focused, agile team.
Before founding Ariel Research Partners, Martina led a 14-person qualitative market research team, managing projects across the education (K-12 and Higher Ed) and corporate (B2B and B2C) sectors.
A Chicago native, Martina earned her Bachelor of Arts in sociology, summa cum laude with departmental honors, from Loyola University Chicago. She also holds a Master of Arts and is a doctoral candidate in sociology at the University of Chicago.
